A living legacy

Two families, one unbreakable bond

Around the turn of the twentieth century in Hendersonville, North Carolina, the Cash and Neill families were joined when Otis Benjamin Cash, Sr. married Margaret Lucille Neill. Her father, Rev. John Wesley Neill, was a minister and pioneering educator remembered as one of the early principals of the historic Ninth Avenue School.

From that union grew a family of fifteen recorded branches whose descendants now reach from the Carolinas to California, Texas, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Georgia and beyond. Every month, and at every reunion, the family still gathers under one motto: Amebarikiwa Milele. Forever Blessed.
